Welcome to TsuKata's Org*
This is the first time I've owned a domain, so I'm kinda just having fun with it right now. I work a full-time job, and I have a full-time life so chances are that by the time I finish doing something, it's out of date. Have patience, and most of all, have fun!
Got questions? Got problems? Got milk? Then e-mail me 'cause my milk, as always, has gone bad.

Alright, my next project for this site...um, besides adding to it and making it bigger and stuff...and actually transferring everything over from my AOL site over to here...yeah, besides all of that, I'm going to set up a "Site Preferences" item which will allow you to decide whether or not you want to see the intro page first thing or go directly to this page...and then I'll add other stuff to it as I go. Should be interesting...I'm gonna play with cookies! :) Oh and you may have already noticed that this site sets a ton of cookies...it's for the menu to work. And don't worry, I delete them within about 2 seconds of setting them, so it's not like you have a mass of cookies hanging around. The cookie monster takes care of that. He's nifty that way.
In the meantime, check out the pictures from the snow we've had here in Chicagoland! (WARNING: Big pics, may take forever to load...so, if you are on a slow dial-up...sucks to be you.)

Welcome to the first one of these that will likely get expanded into an opinion post. I was checking my AOL mail today via good ol' AOL web e-mail, and I saw a link on their front page to this article: Fat But Still Fit? on WebMD. Well, this is something of interest to me so I read the article...and lo and behold, it's one of the few articles I've seen recently on the subject of fat and obesity that actually dares to speak the truth. The fact of the matter is that being fat is not an indicator of health. Blood pressure, cholesterol levels, heart rate, blood sugar...these are health indicators. They're quantitative. They're proven. Fat/weight/body type...this has nothing to do with health. It's qualitative anyways. Sure, it's easy to say that a five foot tall female should weigh 120 pounds...or whatever the currently endorsed figure is...but that does nothing to take into account body type, medical history, genetic makeup...all it says is that some committee up in DC, likely financed by the diet industry (a multi-million dollar consortium including weight watchers and others), decided to change the way a chart was written up so that 20 million more of us would obsess over our weights and thus spend our money at eDiets.com, or whatever the latest fad is. Nevermind the fact that girls in Saudi Arabia who are forced to cover their bodies with burqas have a better body image than American girls...nevermind the psychological and physical damage that fad dieting can cause. Nevermind how badly one's health is affected by rapid changes in weight. Some VPs at Jenny Craig want a little more lining in their pockets, and suddenly, America is obese. Call the papers! ::sigh:: Sorry, y'all..I'm embittered. It pisses me off how many people immediately assume when they see me that I overeat and never exercise...and it couldn't be farther from the truth. And it's no more right to do than it is right to assume a black person listens to rap music and eats fried chicken...but heck, that doesn't stop people from making that assumption either. Humans suck. I'm going to go home and pet my cat. End rant.
Welcome to my little ol' Blog. I just finished doing the debugging of the template, so this should work out niftily now. For those who have never known me to have a blog...well, heck, I've never known me to to have a blog. :) I got the idea from a couple of places, and I'd link to them except that my stylesheet is buggy on links in the blog right now. I'll have to work on that when I get home. Right now, I'm at work (I'm on my lunch break...so there.). Anyways, this should make it easier for me to at least have something current on the site most of the time. Also, I bet that eventually alot of these will get turned into opinion posts for the non-fiction area. But for now, I'm just enjoying. Talk to y'all later...--TK :)
